AVON, CONN.Feb. 18, 2020 iDevices, the smart home division of Hubbell Incorporated, has been recognized as the top national vendor across all categories for leading U.S. homebuilder, Shea Homes®, after receiving the 2019 National Account Gold Award.

In 2019, iDevices partnered with Shea Homes to provide smart lighting control in all SheaConnect™ homes built nationwide. SheaConnect™ is a suite of smart home features included in most new homes built by Shea Homes, ranked 21st on Builder Magazine’s 2019 list of top 100 homebuilders.

“We’re honored to receive the National Account Gold Award from Shea Homes, a tremendous partner and highly respected national homebuilder on the forefront of smart home integration in new homes,” said Brian Hoddy, iDevices’ director of sales. He accepted the award alongside Mark L’Heureux, national accounts manager at iDevices, while attending the Shea Homes National Purchasing Conference in California on Feb. 12.

“This is truly a great team win,” Hoddy said. “I appreciate everyone’s efforts at iDevices in providing the exceptional products, content, delivery, and service that made this possible.”

Shea Homes’ national purchasing organization ranked each of the homebuilder’s suppliers based on responsiveness, training, marketing support, customer advocacy, and price management through the supply chain, among other criteria. The iDevices team, in addition to offering great products, “always take my calls” and “really work hard for our business," said Tony Callahan, Shea Homes’ vice president of purchasing.

Callahan said the iDevices team is very responsive and quick to follow-up, and was thankful for the “extensive training” provided during the SheaConnect rollout last year.

iDevices is the exclusive provider of smart lighting controls for Shea Homes. The iDevices Wall Switch is installed standard in all SheaConnect homes, giving homeowners the power to schedule and control lighting from anywhere with the iDevices Connected app. All SheaConnect homes include a standard set of smart home features, with additional options available in select communities.
