Newegg, the popular online retailer, recently requested a few sample products from iDevices to test and review. 

Craig Nieman, the author of this Newegg Insider post, outfitted his apartment with the products. After all was said and done, he was transformed into "a firm believer in the connected home of the future."

He also felt a little sad. It wasn't because our products didn't work for him — far from it. He had gotten so used to controlling his home  with his smartphone through the iDevices Connected app, or his voice (iDevices products work with Alexa, Siri and the Google Assistant) that "it felt absolutely archaic having to manually control everything again."

"When my time with the products was over and I boxed them back up, I felt like I was kicking my apartment back to the Stone Age," he said. 

Nieman notes that iDevices "stands out from their competition in the increasingly competitive Smart Home market through their commitment to not requiring a hub to set up and operate their products."
